A few weeks ago, I discovered podcasts.
Thanks to Spotify Premium, I can now enjoy an unlimited stream of stories and speakers on car rides and runs! And ya'll know I'm always down for a good story ;) *Important fun fact: student accounts on Spotify include Premium listening and Hulu BOTH for $5.44/month total. TAKE ADVANTAGE!!!

Currently listening to...

Journeywomen hosted by Jordan Beless (recommended to me by Kacey Kemper)
Beless invites guests to share their knowledge and experience with different topics from a Christian world view. If you're looking for mentoring/advice on a multitude of subjects, these are a great listen. So far, my favorite episodes have been:
Ep 79-Gratitude and Hospitality: most meaningful to me was the guest speaker's call to offer hospitality from where you are. That is, if you're a college student with one room to share with others for game night, DO IT unashamedly! Don't wait to have "the perfect environment" to invite people to share in the Lord's gift of community.
Ep 46-Fear: is your fear misplaced? After listening to Beless and her guest speaker, Matt Lantz, unpack biblically based fear, I KNOW I often misplace my fear. Heck, I was listening to the podcast while running on a trail near my house when I came upon a man walking with a chainsaw which Now, he was in construction-worker attire, but nonetheless, my heart didn't skip a beat. Five minutes later on the same trail, I passed a dog off-leash which always strikes a little panic in my non-pet-loving heart. Man with chainsaw vs. little happy-looking dog.
Eps 38-40-SIngleness, Dating, and Marriage: if you're in ANY of these relationship stages you can learn an abundance of information about each one!!!

The Place We Find Ourselves by Adam Young (recommended to me by Brianne Hoglin)
Young explores the ways that our implicit memories from 18-months-old and younger impact our thoughts and behaviors. He invites guests to share childhood stories and listeners to consider what it means to "hold with honor the story of someone they do not know."
It's been valuable for me to these episodes a few days apart so that I have time to mull over the depth of information in each one. *While you can listen to Journeywomen in any order, these episodes sort of build on each other (at least 1-2 explain the basic terms/info that Young and guest speakers use throughout the podcast).
I have a few other podcasts on my queue but I'm looking to add more to my list.
What are your faves? What do you like about them? Hit me up on the services page, on Instagram @katiebeemedia, or on Twitter @katiebeemedia2 :)
